Rooted in the values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Atlanta Adventist Academy is a private high school that delivers an innovative Christ-centered educational program. AAA focuses on building connections in six distinct areas as it prepares students to become lifelong learners. Through the integration of emerging technologies, AAA connects students from diverse backgrounds into a strong community that fosters spiritual growth, physical well being, social responsibility, and academic excellence.  The institution is truly embodied by its tagline: “Education that Connects.”

by preparing young people

for a life of excellence and service

in this world and

OUR VISION

for young people of all backgrounds

who desire a Christ-centered,

academically challenging educational experience."

OUR  LOGO

AAA focuses on building connections in six distinct areas as it prepares students to become lifelong learners. Each circle in our logo represents one of these areas. The flame in the center represents the guidance of the Holy Spirit which underpins everything we do at Atlanta Adventist Academy.

Spiritual Growth

AAA hosts two campus-wide spiritual retreats each year, holds weekly chapels, bi-annual weeks of prayer, and has a vibrant campus ministries program.

Academic Excellence

AAA's college prep program produces students who consistently score above the national average on standardized tests and are accepted into top colleges at a high rate. AAA offers college and dual-credit courses, a AAA scholars program, and a low student/teacher ratio. Our faculty are highly qualified and fully certified and we are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Service

AAA student's complete 20 hours of community service each year, significantly impacting the community around us! In addition, AAA maintains several regular service programs such as PFE, FREE, Academic Peer Coaching, and mission trips.

Technology

AAA has a 1-to-1 iPad program as well as MacBook Pros for its technology classes. And because all our classes are connected to campuses throughout the Southeast via real-time telepresence connections, our classes are all recorded for later review.

Physical Well-being

AAA has a highly competitive interscholastic sports program (go Aardvarks!). We also maintain the SDA church's commitment to the wellness of the whole person through regular physical activity and a healthy diet.

Social Connections

An internationally diverse community, AAA is a safe, nurturing environment with engaged and approachable faculty. We also have an active Student Association and select students attend annual conferences on leadership skills.

    OUR history

Atlanta Adventist Academy started in 1979 on the campus of Cascade Elementary School.  The first graduating class was in the fall of 1984.  AAA has always been known for its rigorous academics and unusual–but famous–school mascot, the Aardvark.

AAA remained at the Cascade Road campus until 2006.  At that time, it was determined to sell the older campus and develop a new cutting-edge private multi-campus high school.  AAA has kept many of the old traditions while jumping into a 21st century style of education.  With three metro Atlanta sites and 8 partner high schools throughout the region, AAA has not only thrived, but has also served as an innovative model for other schools.

Using interactive simultaneous videoconferencing technology, AAA has established a reputation of using technology effectively–while maintaining a student-friendly atmosphere that is typical of Seventh-day Adventist academies.  Students will enjoy the activities such as spiritual retreats, fall parties, banquets, varsity sports, music, drama, mission trips, field trips, and electives throughout the year.

AAA’s enrollment has more than doubled over the last six years and hit a record high enrollment in 2012 while maintaining a steady flow of applicants that include a diverse group of students each year.  At any given moment, you could visit AAA and see a wide variety of students interacting in a caring and uplifting manner.  The AAA Vision is to: “be the high school of choice for young people of all backgrounds who desire a Christ-centered, academically challenging educational experience.”

Since 90% of our students attend college after graduating, we felt the need to assist students before leaving AAA.  Currently, 15 dual-credit classes are offered to qualifying students.  It is possible for a student to graduate from AAA with up to 37 hours of college credit.  This gives AAA students an edge on being successful in their future.  Our mission statement sums it up: “We honor God by preparing young people for a life of excellence and service in this world and in the world to come.”

Above all, the spiritual atmosphere of AAA is the most important part of the education we have to offer.  Students are provided numerous opportunities to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior through class worships, chapels, retreats, prayer with teachers, AAA Sabbaths, and more.
